Parvana is an 11-year-old girl growing up under the Taliban in Afghanistan in 2001. When her father is wrongfully arrested, Parvana cuts off her hair and dresses like a boy in order to support her family.
Working alongside her friend Shauzia, Parvana discovers a new world of freedom-and danger. With undaunted courage, Parvana draws strength from the fantastical stories she invents, as she embarks on a quest to find her father and reunite her family.
Sunday at 5:15pm
Based on her own adolescent experiences, Sadaf Foroughi’s Ava is a gripping debut about a young girl’s coming-of-age in a strict traditional society. Living with her well-to-do parents in Tehran, Ava is a bright and focused teen whose concerns – friendships, music, social status, academic performance – resemble that of nearly any teenager. When Ava’s mistrustful and overprotective mother questions her relationship with a boy – going so far as to visit a gynaecologist – Ava is overwhelmed by newfound rage. Formally a model student, Ava begins to rebel against the structures imposed by her parents, her school and society at large.
Adults $15 | Students $12

At OM Juicery, live, natural body cleansing is a way of life! Similar forms of healing have been around for centuries! Juicing allows our digestive system to minimize it's energy output and switches the body's auto-immune system into hyper-drive allowing for natural healing. Without the complex digestion process required in the breakdown of processed foods, fats, dairy and proteins our body and mind can clear themselves releasing toxins, thought clutter and excess debris.

At OM Juicery, their juice fast systems contain six 16 oz juices! More dark leafy greens, vegetables and/or fruits than you could possibly eat in one day. This gives you extra easily digestible minerals, vitamins and enzymes to boost your cells into optimal functioning mode.
Run to OM Juicery to get your body in check after the holidays!!
