Areas of Influence is a comprehensive seminar that explores the different areas in which parents and caregivers influence their children and teens, and how best to assess problem behaviour to strategize the most effective responses that support wanted behaviour and healthy development. The four main areas discussed are the child's or youth’s environment, social identity and self-esteem, discipline and consequences, and biological considerations such as capacity and temperament issues. Each area is explored from how children and youth are impacted by these factors, to how parents and caregivers can affect them to promote positive change in behaviour.
