The webinar will focus on the impacts of ageism, exploring manifestations of ageism in various environments, showcasing good practice examples and engaging in a discussion of next steps.

• How to work with your communities to create safer environments for seniors.
• Different tools to create discussion so as to challenge negative societal attitudes of older adults.

Volunteers will help with various duties in the cafe, including food prep (i.e. peeling and chopping of vegetables), dish washing, and cleaning. No experience is necessarily, but you must have willingness to learn and work well with others.

Researchers at the University of Alberta are investigating how the feeling of needing to pee affects people's ability to think and solve problems, and how people with and without bladder problems perform on some simple tasks. They are seeking people 65+ who are either healthy or those who have bladder problems (e.g. urinary incontinence).

The study will require:

• One visit to the University of Alberta
• Performing two tests of cognition
• The study will take about 1 hour to complete

Participants will have their transportation/parking to the University of Alberta paid and be given a Tim Horton's gift card as a thank you.
