Baptism is an outward reminder that we are deeply and wholly loved by our Creator. Even the toughest and most confident among us need periodic reminders of that love. This Sunday we will dive into the story of Jesus' baptism, and remember our own, in a worship service of beloved remembrance and affirmation.

Peace,
Pastor Liz

Remembering Rev. Dr. MLK Jr.
Location: Union Missionary Baptist Church, 500 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., Lansing, MI.  Hosted by: The Greater Lansing Clergy Forum.  If Martin Luther King Jr. were alive today, he would be 90 years old. If Martin Luther King Jr. were alive today...We would be at work; children would be at school and our mail would be delivered. There would be no plans to gather for the annual Holiday Luncheon, commemorative speeches and no Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. None of that. If Martin Luther King Jr. were alive today, he would still dream that one day every valley would be exalted, and every hill and mountain made low, the rough places made plain, and the crooked places made straight, "and the glory of the Lord shall be revealed and all flesh shall see it together". So, let's Lift Every Voice... Happy Birthday Dr. King!
