PATRON SURVEY Republic School District invites parents and guardians of our students to complete the short survey found at the link below. Your feedback allows us to see at what level we are meeting the needs of our students, families and community at large. Preparing each student for a successful future is the district mission, and the information gathered through this survey provides us a measure to see how well we are achieving this goal.  The survey should take approximately 10 minutes to complete and is open October 22-November 2. We will also honor Veterans at our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade music program to be held on Thursday, November 8th. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION.

Fall Parties: Friday, October 26th Kindergarten 10:10-10:55 a.m. 1st grade 1:05-1:50 p.m 2nd grade 8:30-9:15 a.m. 3rd grade 12:15-1:00 p.m 4th grade 9:20-10:05 a.m. 5th grade 11:00 -11:45 a.m.

School Goals: First Quarter was quite a success! Lyon leaders met both the attendance and discipline goal. Attendance goal: 94% of Lyon students will be at school 90% of the time. As you can see below 382 students have attendance at or above 90%, this is 96% of students meeting the goal! Discipline goal: Lyon students will have 19 office referrals or less each month. We have been well below this number each month, with a total reduction of 27 referrals from the 1st quarter last school year! For Lyon's Entire School Improvement Plan, Click Here

Lyon's October Leaders October's Lyon Leaders exhibited a strength in Habit 2: Begin with the End in Mind. These students are goal setters, create a plan, and reach success! Way to go Lyon Leaders! Lyon Hero of the Month Congratulations to Mrs. Heath, Lyon's Hero of the month. Mrs. Heath goes above and beyond for her students. She will now be put in the running for the district RepMo Hero for an opportunity to receive additional funds for Lyon's Special Education department. Fingers crossed!

Reminder for End of Day Dismissal Procedures Please help our secretaries, teachers, and staff keep your child safe. We ask that you please follow the below steps if you are needing to change your child's after school plan: Please contact our secretaries no later than 3:00 pm (2:00 pm on Fridays) with the updated plan. If your child attends Tiger STRIPES, then you'd notify them as well. If you need to pick your child up, please do so prior to 3:15 pm (2:15 pm on Fridays). If it is after this time, you will need to go to the back of Lyon and join the car lane. If you email the teacher for this update, be aware that he/she may or may not read the message prior to dismissal. You may include secretaries in this communication, and one will confirm its been received. Again, these messages need to come within 30 minutes of dismissal time. We understand plans change, please be proactive in dismissal changes when able.
