A common coverage challenge for a design firm is the request to add an additional insured on a professional liability policy. Navigators Insurance outlines why a design firm would not want to consider such a request if coverage was ever available.


A recent court decision concluded that design firms could be liable to anyone that could foreseeably be harmed by their actions, even if no contract exists. Kent Holland of Construction Risk, LLC breaks down the case and provides guidance.
