February 2019
Hello, Boys & Girls Club of the Siskiyous\' Supporter!

Greetings to a new year filled with plenty of cheer! We have had a great start to 2019 at the Boys & Girls Club of the Siskiyous, with new and exciting program opportunities for Club members such as our Ski and Snowboard Program at the Mt. Shasta Ski Park, as well as our Winter Programs at the Club.

Thank you for all of your outstanding support, and we look forward to continuing the fun throughout 2019!

Last week marked the start of our Ski and Snowboard Program at the Mt. Shasta Ski Park, and we are so excited to have such an enthusiastic group of members participate in this amazing program. All of the kids arrived ready to embark on our trip to the slopes, and their enthusiasm continued to grow throughout the day. We are excited for the ski and snowboard lessons in the weeks to come!
In order to continue to provide this program throughout the entire winter for the kids who need us most, we are asking for your help to reach our goal of raising $10,000. In-kind donations such as ski/snowboard gear, and helmets would also assist in off-setting the total program cost.
This season, we are introducing a new program schedule at the Club. This new schedule includes many fun and exciting opportunities for Club members such as a Boys Circle, and a Girls Circle for our 4th and 5th graders; Torch Club, for our members in 6th-8th grade; as well as Triple Play sports and fitness, Power Hour homework help, Computer Lab, a Pottery Program, and STEAM-- including arts and crafts; for all grades!
Chamber of Commerce
2nd Annual Crab Feed Event

Last year our Torch Club, a Leadership and Service Club within the Boys & Girls Club for our 6th, 7th, and 8th graders, participated as servers for the Mt. Shasta Chamber of Commerce Crab Feed Event and we have been invited back to be servers for the event this year. The money that is raised through tips/donations will go towards the Torch Club, and the participating members will get to decide together on how they would like to use the money at the Club.

We encourage you to join us, and spread the word to family and friends about this deliciously delightful fundraiser!

Volunteer and make the difference in a child's life.
Have a special skill? Some time to give? Nothing makes a larger impact on a child than having a positive adult to look up to. No matter if it is one hour a week, four hours every day, or even just something special for one time only, Boys & Girls Club volunteers make a huge impact on members.
