UPDATE: Stay informed of the Kirby HS transition plan developments.

The recent issues at Kirby High School have gotten a great deal of coverage over the past few weeks, but we're making progress this week and getting close to returning all of our Cougar students and staff back to a stable school situation. Our Facilities team has been working around the clock for weeks, and our IT team stepped up on short notice this week to help our students recover missed instructional time by distributing hundreds of laptops for virtual learning. Dr. Steevon Hunter, principal of Kirby, and his staff deserve a tremendous amount of credit as well for staying positive and standing together to set a strong example for all the students and families they serve. We know the situation is still generating lots of questions, but you can find all of the updates we've been sharing with families and the public on the new #KirbyStrong website.
It's time for Non-Instructional Evaluation Goal Setting Conferences.

Non-Instructional Evaluations are now available in the PLZ. Please don't forget to complete your goal setting conferences by September 28. It's just four simple steps:

1) Select your evaluator.
2) Enter your goals.
3) Attend the goal setting conference with your manager.
4) Finalize the form.
Support SCS students at the 2018 Necessity Drive TOMORROW!

Only one week left to reach our $30,000 goal for St. Jude! Got a team yet???
Our friends at St. Jude have challenged #TeamSCS to raise $30,000 for the  2018 St. Jude Walk/Run to End Childhood Cancer. We're almost reached the $10,000 mark, but we need some serious help in the home stretch to hit our goal by race day on  September 22. Sure,
20-grand more sounds like a lot, but we have 11,000+ employees, so we can hit that remaining $20K in  donations pretty quickly! Encourage your department or school to form or join a team and  register to participate or donate on behalf of #TeamSCS. You can also tell your family, friends, church groups, gym buddies, neighbors etc. to join #TeamSCS and support the cause. Let's make it happen for St. Jude!
