Bragging on Branches
AAUW Honolulu (HI) Branch
makes a strategic investment
|
Last month, AAUW received a letter from AAUW Honolulu Branch President, Joanna Amberger. A nearly $30,000 donation was enclosed. The letter articulated AAUW Honolulu's enthusiasm about the plan and future engagement across the local, state and national levels.

A video will be sent to all state and branch presidents later this month. It will outline how our members can help achieve important milestones. AAUW will launch
Work Smart Online
, a virtual salary negotiation workshop this month. We are asking every member to take an hour to go through the tool to get first-hand experience.

103 Years Young
Vero Beach Lifelong Member Has Words Worth Repeating
AAUW membership broadens horizons, stimulates thinking, removes stereotypes and gives women a respected place to fight. AAUW/VB people, causes, activities and meetings will always be an important part of my lifetime memory treasures.
Elizabeth was one of the first women to graduate from Yale Divinity School, and it was there she encountered AAUW. She served as president of the New Haven Branch, the second oldest of the country. Her profession took her to numerous states and AAUW branches. Many years later, she and her husband Dr. Donald Frazier served as pastors in Vero Beach. She was introduced to our local AAUW branch at a Dodger Pines luncheon in 1984. later serving on the board and offering many invocations at AAUW meetings. Her
Art of Writing Invocations
has appeared in several branch yearbooks since then. She once remarked that her best advice as we grow is to "use it or lose it". Now living in Connecticut.

Birgitta Byers and Sylvia La Rocca did a fabulous job during our 2017-2018 season. Thank you for your time, talent and treasures shared with all of us!
Judging by the new 2018-2019 schedule of restaurants, Beverly Whiteley and Judy Powell have picked up the baton to muster on.
Many of us enjoy scouting out new places to eat. We are fortunate that Vero Beach has so many eating venues to choose from. Beverly and Judy have found some unique locations to rendezvous. Great Job!
All the listed restaurants take separate checks and have a special room for us.
For more information or to reserve a seat, please call either: (
