00 PM at Canterbury Park. This special membership luncheon will include installation and recognition of Board Members and a recap of our past year and accomplishments. Additionally, we will be honoring two businesses who have exhibited remarkable success, growth and leadership in Shakopee in 2018 as Member Business of the Year!

January Kids Kraft: Dino-Feet

Roar your way into the new year with a dino-mite Kids Kraft! Recycle tissue boxes into your own pair of dinosaur feet, then stomp your way into the gallery for a prehistoric tale!

Kids Kraft happens at SCHS on the last Saturday of every month. The program introduces young children to museums, promotes literacy, and allows young people to practice "old fashioned" hands-on skills.

MACVB Silent Auction
Donate to the MACVB Silent Auction and show your support of the people who
promote tourism across the great state of Minnesota!
MACVB's Silent Auction will be held in conjunction with the Explore Minnesota Tourism Conference on February 4-6, 2019 at the InterContinental Hotel in Saint Paul. The silent auction will be "live" online to offer anyone a chance to bid on an item. Donations will be accepted until January 24, 2019.

City Administrator to Present State of the City Address Jan. 17
Shakopee City Administrator Bill Reynolds will give a 2019 State of the City address live on
Shakopee Government TV, the
city's YouTube channel and
Facebook at noon on Thursday, Jan. 17.
Join Reynolds as he discusses 2018 highlights and looks ahead to 2019.
The presentation will be followed by a short question-and-answer session.

Active Shooter Response Certification Training
The Federal Government and the Department of Education have significantly changed the recommended guidelines for organizations and schools regarding how to prepare, train, and respond to an active shooter situation.
Shakopee Schools
embraces this new standard of safety preparedness and will be hosting Active Shooter Response Certification Training (ALICE Training) on
Tuesday, April 2 & Wednesday, April 3 at Shakopee High School.
This certification is a two day, train-the-trainer class on active shooter response. Attendees will range from law enforcement, local school officials and area businesses leaders.

The Shakopee Chamber Executive & Business Owner's Roundtable provides a structured, confidential and trusting environment for executives and business owners to give and receive the benefit of their experiences to help resolve business challenges. Participation in this group allows leaders to make better strategic decisions, focus on "the right things," improve communication and build long-term relationships.
