SPA's TC + 1
Has Strong Start!
Thank you to ALL who have given to our TC + 1 campaign! As of today we are at 71% of our goal! 2018 AZ Tax Credit contributions can be made until April 15, 2019! There is plenty of time to ask friends, neighbors, and extended family members for their AZ Public School Tax Credit. It is a win-win for everyone!
All Tax Credit dollars stay right here at SPA and support our student athletes and extra-curricular clubs!
Our programs, which include athletics, rely on a successful Tax Credit Drive! Please contribute by:
1. Giving  ONLINE TODAY!
2. Schedule your tax credit for a future date by CLICKING HERE - set it and forget it!
3. Complete at TAX CREDIT FORM and drop it off at our front desk or mail it to our school!
4. Ask another AZ tax payer to give their tax credit to SPA
Questions? Please contact Paola Gale at 480-776-3571 or [email protected]
Traffic Next Week
Come Early - Stay Late To Beat The Traffic

Barrett Jackson's event next week will require our Archway campus to utilize our traffic route.  Please see this map for the route that will be taken by both schools.  Nothing will change for our SPA traffic route, but we would ask that SPA Only families (No ACS siblings) use the A lane when possible, although the B lane is also available to you.  The B Lane (and eventually the C lane at the east side) will move our ACS traffic through to their campus for drop-off and pick-up. A few hints and reminders:
  • SPA students - COME EARLY AND STAY LATE to avoid the traffic.  Arrive at 7 am and pick up around 1 pm
  • All families, please use the east-bound Bahia route to enter 92nd Street.
  • When departing turn Left at Bahia (an officer will assist)
ARCHWAY BUSES
During Barrett Jackson week, Archway Scottsdale has chartered buses, and shared families with SPA middle school students have been included in this transportation option. All permission slips should go to Archway  Scottsdale, and Scottsdale Prep will release those students at 12:15 pm for boarding on the bus. Click here for the  bus route schedule and times.
REMINDER - CALENDAR CHANGE NEXT WEEK
Please see the below change to our January calendar for 2019
In our efforts to coordinate with the city of Scottsdale for the busy period of Barrett Jackson at Westworld in January, the dates were inadvertently relayed incorrectly. This issue will cause a change in our early dismissal and conference days scheduled in January. Please see the below change to our January calendar for 2019.
New Dates
Early Release Days and Parent/Teacher Conferences: Monday, January 14th - Thursday, January 17th (Regular Half Day Schedule).
No School on Friday January 18th: Parent Conferences will also be held on this day, but students will not attend. Friday is the highest traffic day of the Barrett Jackson event so this relieves all families from the traffic issues associated with drop off and pick up.
No School on MLK/Civil Rights Day: Students will have Monday, January 21, 2018 off in remembrance of Martin Luther King and Civil Rights Day.
Regular School Days: January 22-25 will now be normal school days.
Please see below for an updated visual representation of these changes:

  • In Need of:  Nurse Sheneman and the school is in need of disinfecting wipes such as Clorox wipes, hand sanitizer such as Purell, and facial tissue such as Kleenex. Please consider picking up some of these items as you do your holiday shopping. Just drop them off in the bin in the office or you can even have some delivered directly to the school by ordering on Amazon using the SPA link in the upper left corner of this blast to get money back to the school.  Please help keep the students healthy!
  • Use SPAPSO.ShutterflyStorefront.com to order from Shutterfly or Tiny Prints. Both earn money for SPA at no extra cost to you.
