Becky Yarbrough Crest of Honor and Administration Culture of Care

Last week we celebrated two of our own: Ms. Dianne Ellison was named our Becky Yarbrough Crest of Honor recipient for "doing it all" with a smile on her face. At CHS we have a culture of care, and Coach Henry Rowling was honored with the Administration Culture of Care for the care and support he provides his students.

Parent Round Table
During last week's parent roundtable, Ms. Premoli explored "building a growth mindset" with our students. Building student opportunities through grit: passion and perseverance. Join Ms. Premoli Nov. 16 for her next parent roundtable.

Student ID Policy
School Safety and Security Plan
On Thursday, October 25, we will distribute student IDs, card cases, and Cambridge lanyards to students during their Cambridge English classes, Students with college on-campus English classes will receive their IDs next Monday and Tuesday. As part of our safety and security plan, we are implementing a policy such that all students must wear an ID at all times. IDs should be worn around the neck and visible. By ensuring all staff, students, and visitors have some identification on them at all times; we can better ensure that the people in our building, should be in our building. We ask that all parents and guardians help us in this safety measure by ensuring that your student has his/her ID on them each day.

Students with no English class on campus should pick their IDs up from the front office. Students who did not have their picture taken this year (picture day, senior portrait, or make-up) will not have an ID on distribution day. These students may use last year's ID (if they have one) until they get a current ID. These students should stop by the front office to receive their lanyard. The front office will notify all students missing an ID about having their ID made.

Please note that if a student loses his/her ID, it will cost $5 to replace the ID and if a student loses their ID and lanyard, it will cost $10 to replace all items.

We would like to extend to you an invitation to play in our 4th Annual "Bears & Birdies Golf Classic". This great event will be held on Tuesday, November 7th at the beautiful Manor Golf & Country Club. This fundraising event is our single largest fundraiser and source of funds for Cambridge Baseball's Capital Improvements.
