A Message From Michelle
“A new year.
Three hundred and sixty-five
Beautiful mornings and starlit evenings.
Fifty-two promising weeks, and
Twelve transformative months full of
Possibilities” ~ Anonymous

With this January message, the ‘possibilities’ of what awaits Pickering Manor are certainly exciting! The ‘possibility’ of our future lies in evidence on the North field. Each shovel of dirt that has been excavated and each layer of concrete that has been laid is the foundation of our future and all the ‘possibilities’ that will follow. I continue to be amazed at the kindness and support we have received throughout these last few months as this project finally gained ground. Our current residents, their families and our staff have shown patience and understanding as our daily routines have changed. Our Board has believed in our mission and has given our ‘possibilities’ the strength to grow. Our community has embraced our vision and believes that in the end, we will be providing levels of care that will be as competitive as anyone in the area, but we will never lose that sense of family associated with Pickering Manor since 1963. We realize that to be successful, we must be proceed carefully and thoughtfully and that this project will continue throughout this year; but we will watch it grow and we will know that the next ‘fifty-two weeks’ WILL be promising; and the next ‘twelve months’, certainly transformative!

Wishing each one of you your own transformational moments in the coming year!
Happy 2019!!
