Inclusive Communities: November 2018 Update

Dear Friends,
Cammy Watkins,
Deputy Director

I'd like to take this opportunity to announce the promotion of Cammy Watkins to Deputy Director of Inclusive Communities! Cammy has been with us since 2016 as our Operations and Business  Development Manager, and in that time, her efforts to further our business development work have resulted in entirely new opportunities for our mission to have an impact on
organizational effectiveness and the quality of work-life experienced by employees in Nebraska. In her new role, Cammy's responsibilities will include management of all aspects of the daily operations and an increased role in fundraising.

Please join me in congratulating Cammy on this well-deserved promotion! We are so grateful for her service and dedication to the Inclusive Communities mission, and look forward to all that the future holds with her in this new role!

From an October 2018 camper:

"This weekend has been life-changing for me. I talked about things I don't normally get to say to my family and friends because none of them are like me or understand. So, thanks for allowing me to find my people

2018/2019 Lozier Omaha Table Talk

October 9 - Terri D. Sanders, Dr. Nikitah Imani, Gary Kastrick and Brenda Council lead an insightful and important conversation about "Race and Redlining" - about how the decisions of Omaha's past impact the city today, and how the limitations of one's upbringing do not define their future.

We Came, We Stood in Line, WE VOTED!

Thanks to all who voted in the November 6 election! Red, blue, or purple - higher voter turnout means more civic engagement, more attention to issues and more effort to use one of our most important (but often ignored) rights. Let's keep the enthusiasm going past the midterms and into 2020!
