Members and friends,
As we make our way through what I hope is a blessed holiday season for each of you, I wish you quiet moments to appreciate whatever is most important to you.
...and...
A new year beckons. Every year will present its own challenges and opportunities, and I encourage you to face 2018 boldly. Set your course, starting where you are with what you have, and be immovable in your commitment to staying (or getting back) on track towards your goals. Trust what you have learned. You know what is right for you: Let now be the time you reach for it without fear of setback or failure. If those things come, you can face them. You will prevail. I have seen you do it. I have learned from your commitment. I have marveled at your persistence. I have been humbled by your strength.
I am immeasurably proud of the work we have done to further the mission of the Aurora Chamber of Commerce & Visitors Bureau. I am most proud of the connections we have forged and the relationships that have developed, are developing, will develop.
As the next chapter of chamber leadership begins, I encourage you to get involved. Take that next step. I promise you are surrounded by an incredible group of people and your life will be enriched through the work you do together.
I hope those of you who have impacted my life, personally and/or professionally, know how very thankful I am for you. It has been an honor and a pleasure to serve as your Executive Director, and I cannot wait to see what happens next.
Now let's get busy: there is much to do.
With much love and respect,
And sincerely,
|
