Celebrating Freedom Mindfully
|

The 4th of July is a day in which many of us celebrate our freedom. But, how do we celebrate this holiday mindfully?
Use this time to express love and gratitude for all situations, people, places and things that allow you to practice what love truly is. For many, we use this holiday to spend time with family and close friends, with an abundance of food and fireworks, and sometimes forget how blessed we are to live in a country that is filled with just that......abundance! This practice of loving and gratitude is the mindful behavior that we can bring awareness to on a day like today. Take each experience, encounter, or situation that you are involved in and reflect on the opportunities for love, gratitude, and kindness that was or was not displayed. If not, forgive yourself, you are human and decide to move on with even more love and gratitude and watch yourself and those around you transform into something more beautiful than you could ever imagine.

This week's meditation is about Unity. We all have our own path, however we must realize that we are connected in one way or another. This meditation highlights 4 things that we can do as a collective to bring about peace, love, and unity. It is a powerful thing when we are able to connect with one another through our purpose and have respect for one another in understanding that ultimately, we are all one. I pray that this meditation serves the intentions to which is was created to restore your faith, inner peace, and a sense of community again. Namaste!

every Sunday at 11:00 a.m. Our meditation circle will be held in the grassy area between the Dallas Arboretum and White Rock Lake. From Garland Road, turn onto Lawther Drive, and you'll find us in the grassy area closest to the Winfrey Point parking.

The “
Relax, Relate, & Release Retreat
” is a four-day experience that challenges educators and mentors to create a greater self awareness, reflection, inspiration, and deep discovery of themselves to increase compassion, presence, and the love within to help children flourish, socially, emotionally, and academically. These skills will help you reduce stress, improve your mental concentration and emotional awareness and facilitate responsiveness. Educators and mentors will experience connections with one another, and recognize their own dreams and God given purposes within their homes, relationships, schools, and communities. This retreat is for educators and mentors of all ages, races and backgrounds who are at different points of their lives. The goal of this event, is to refuel and rebuild your passion for the profession, and rejuvenate to enter the new school year purposefully.
