PIVOT 2020: Not Your Average Zoom Meeting
The Covid-19 pandemic has disrupted conventional learning environments for every industry. After LCUL made the decision to transition our annual event to an entirely virtual experience, we knew we needed to deliver exactly what you expect from us: not your average zoom meeting.

Now more than ever, it's essential for us to gather together to spark true change and discuss the impact that this past year will have on the industry going forward, but your League wanted to take to another level.  From our remote location, crazy interactive platform, face-to-face virtual exhibit hall, social media contests, swag bags, cash prizes, and online CULAC Challenge/Silent Auction, we're so excited for you to see what we have in store. Also, get ready to be surprised with some amazing entertainment!

As a reminder, Thursday's events are completely free for member credit unions. Take this opportunity to see what your League has been up to and hear what the national association is focused on as Jim Nussle, CUNA President/CEO, addresses the audience.

Right now, our mission has never been more important and we're so excited for the potential that a virtual experience has to bring us all together in new ways.

We may be PIVOTing our convention to a virtual platform but we aren't leaving anything or anyone out!  Our agenda was designed to include content for all our for convention participants - credit union professionals and volunteers alike.

Register your volunteers to ensure they also gain the knowledge that will be shared in our general sessions focused on the political and economic landscape beyond 2020, as well as a look at how different generations are reacting to our ever evolving cultural environment.  We also have breakouts specifically designed with the credit union volunteer in mind.

Kevin Smith of Team Resources will conduct 2 of our breakouts - one will focus on The Digital Evolution of Board Governance and the other will help participants get a better understanding of successful credit union business models.  Watch this short message to hear directly from Kevin how credit unions can pick up business model tips from our favorite pizza places!.

Three Questions Every Credit Union Must Ask During 2020 Planning Season
In anticipation of strategic planning season, credit union leaders are contemplating how this year's planning efforts can adequately address the unprecedented and wide-ranging needs of today's members. With so much uncertainty around the long-tail economic, cultural and behavioral effects of COVID-19, it will be tricky to understand where a particular credit union can have the greatest impact.

Yet, the promise of data analytics makes planning and " seeing ahead for members" and the credit union feel much more achievable. And to do that, leveraging the predictive power of data is key.

The events that have occurred so far in 2020 have triggered something of an inflection point for credit unions. The movement's foundational principles are more poignant and arguably needed more now than at any other time in our history. Ensuring the industry is well-positioned to help those who need us the most will require expansive thinkers who are ready to bring about real change - both for the movement and the people it serves.

As such, we need to ask ourselves these three critical questions.
