This week KGOU has been airing live special coverage of the Senate confirmation hearing for U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. Tonight at 7 p.m. NPR is offering a one-hour recap of the hearing so far -- the protests, the documents, the questions and Kavanaugh's answers will receive analysis by NPR's deep bench of correspondents covering politics, legal affairs, Congress and the White House. Due to the unpredictability of such hearings, KGOU's coverage may end at some point tomorrow. Our plans are to bring you live coverage of the vote on Kavanaugh's nomination as it is announced. Live video of the entire proceeding will be available on KGOU.org.

Fall Membership Drive: Staying with the Story
Help our reporters stay with the story
2018 has been a year full of big news stories: trade, medical marijuana, teachers' pay, government budgets, diplomacy, immigration, technology, environmental concerns, scandals, politics and elections to boot! Whenever you hear a news story that matters to you on KGOU, you can thank a donor.

Financial contributions from listeners continue to make up the lion's share of KGOU's operating funds. Donations pay for the rights to broadcast programs from NPR, APM and other national content producers. Listener support makes it possible for KGOU to provide news and entertainment in 32 counties in Oklahoma and online worldwide.

If you are a donor, thank you! We're entering our fall fundraising season, when we ask listeners to renew or begin their support so that KGOU can continue to bring to your daily life the news and programming that matters.

Featuring the trademark wit that has long characterized the popular NPR Politics Podcast, The Politics Show will feature reporters from a number of different perspectives -- from NPR's White House and Congressional teams to local station reporters covering local races. Tune in Sundays at 12 p.m.
