October 2018 Newsletter
Dear supporters,

We have had a very busy summer at MSL. There were many families in our community that needed us to get them through a difficult time. We helped pay rent, utilities, 6th grade camp, car repairs and purchased other essential items. Each day we realize how important our work in the community is and we couldn't do it without you. As the holiday season approaches, please consider Main Street League when planning an event or making an end of year donation. The more we raise, the more good we can put into our community and continue to "Uplift or community from within."

Sincerely,
Lauren Romeo
MSL Founder

MSL members are welcome to join us for a tour of Vista Maria and learn how you can help support this incredible organization. They are always in need of mentors and volunteers.

Mission:
To deliver innovative care, support, treatment and education to vulnerable youth so that they heal, believe in their worth, and build the skills needed to succeed.

Specialized Treatment Programs:
Vista Maria’s specialized intensive residential treatment programs for adolescent girls are operated from our 37-acre Dearborn Heights campus. All programs have access to support services including a health clinic, an on-site junior and senior high school operated by the Clara B. Ford Academy, a large cafeteria, recreational facilities, meeting rooms, a chapel, and administrative offices. We recently added two new state-of-the-art mental health buildings to address the growing need for mental health care for girls. Our campus can accommodate 165 clients at any given time.

Adopt A Family 2018
Each year MSL takes on several families and gives them an incredible Christmas. If you want to help shop, contribute financially, or take on a whole family, please email mainstreetleague@gmail.com for more information.
Allstate Helping Hands Grant
Bruce & Amy Martin
We are so thankful for the support of the Bruce Martin Allstate Agency. They sponsored our Back To School initiative this year with a $5000 grant from Allstate! We were able to provide 100 backpacks filled with supplies and 100 new pairs of shoes to our local school children. They took a big burden off of so many parents! Thank you!

Blessings In A Backpack- Northville

Great news! This awesome program is coming to Northville thanks to Michelle Lapshan.

Blessings in a Backpack mobilizes communities, individuals, and resources to provide food on the weekends for elementary school children across America who might otherwise go hungry.

As little as $100 feeds one child on the weekends for one 38-week school year through the Blessings in a Backpack program.

The Results: Nourished Kids Ready to Learn.

MSL is proud to get them started with a $1,000 donation. We hope you will consider volunteering and/or helping them financially too!
