Pastor's Message

  Dear Friend in Faith,

What’s at the heart of Christianity? Well, Jesus, of course, and love–living out a life of love. The Apostle Paul writes about love this way: Love never gives up. Love cares more for others than for self. Love doesn’t want what it doesn’t have. Love doesn’t strut, Doesn’t have a swelled head, Doesn’t force itself on others, Isn’t always “me first,” Doesn’t fly off the handle, Doesn’t keep score of the sins of others (I Corinthians 13:3-6, The Message). I don’t know about you, but that’s a great description and a tall order. Jesus wants us to be known by our love. There are many ways that can play out. Sometimes love is nurturing. Sometimes it is correcting, always, always love asks something of us. Sometimes love is sacrificial...
