Thursday Great Books Study at 10:30 AM
  Dear Folks:
We continue with our study of Women of the Bible by entering into the powerful story of Ruth and her mother in law, Naomi, as recorded in the Book of Ruth.   I encourage you to read
the whole Book of Ruth before our class this Thursday.

I am sure we remember the story well, but it deserves a fresh reading before we meet for discussion and prayer. Naomi's husband died in the land of Moab, where they had settled and raised two sons. The sons married Moabite women, Orpah and Ruth. Their husbands also died. Hence, Naomi chose to return to her home country of Israel, urging her two Moabite daughters to stay in their homeland. Orpah chose to do that, but Ruth spoke the famous words, "I will go where you go. I will live where you live." As Ruth made sure that her mother-in-law was well taken care of, so God provided for Ruth, who became one of those referenced in the Bible as being in the genealogy of Jesus.

I look forward to being with you all this Thursday ! Bless you!

Bless you all and please offer your comments by email to me, cpkellyl@aol.com, especially if you are not able to be present for the discussion this Thursday!
