Through My Lens

November 2019

We all look at life through our own lens

Veterans Day is largely intended to honors all those  - dead or alive - who have served in the United States Armed Forces in war or in peace.  It is largely intended to thank the living veterans for their sacrifices. It is always held on Nov.11th because that was when WWI formally ended...the 11th hours of the 11th day of the 11th month in 1918. The great war that was to end all wars.
As  that did not happen,  we continue to honor and respect all those who continue to  serve and sacrifice so that we, and many others can enjoy the freedoms we enjoy.
Thank you, Veterans, for your service and sacrifice. We are eternally grateful to each of you.
      Until Next Time....

Veterans Day

We are very blessed to live in the U.S.A.

A land that is open and free.

Many would like to enjoy this privilege

But our freedom did not come free.

Those in the military who have stepped up

To defend the freedoms of this great land,

They protect the core values and great ideas

For which the United States does stand.

Over the years our military has been

Protecting freedom in the world each day.

Standing for the poor and those in need

Who often do not have a say.

So as we celebrate this Veterans Day

May we honor all those who have served.

Because of them we enjoy many freedoms

Now, may we give them the honor they deserve.
