Tonight - Back To School Night 

You will have the opportunity to follow your child/ren's schedule on a typical Friday. Will you find your way around the school as well as your son or daughter does? And who will be at your All School Lunch table? All will be revealed in your homeroom/advisory TONIGHT at 6:30 p.m. (optional dinner at 5:30 p.m.)

IMPORTANT NOTE: If you are the only adult attending and have multiple children in the school, you are encouraged to visit your eldest child's homeroom/advisory first. There you will be given the schedules of all children in the family, enabling you to visit different grades at your discretion.

Lower School Electives Registration - Grades 1-5

On Friday afternoons, beginning  September 21, students in grades 1-5 will participate in Lower School Electives. Students can choose from a variety of fun activities. Students in Grades 1-5 must fill out an elective formKindergartners will be participating in chess and do not need to register.

Arrival & Dismissal Policies 

As we begin a new school year, we would like to remind everyone about our arrival and dismissal policies to support the safety of our students. Please review our arrival and dismissal policies to ensure a smooth transition at the beginning and end of the school day.
MAP Testing

Students in grades 3-8 will participate in  MAP   testing  from  September 4-7, 12-14 and 17-18 . Teachers and advisors will communicate specific  testing  days and times with parents. Students will complete  MAP   tests  in math, reading, and language usage. Read more  about  MAP   testing .
K-2 Tashlikh Walk

Heilicher students in grades K-2 will participate in a Tashlikh walk during the school day on Tuesday September 18. Tashlikh is the ceremony where we symbolically cast our sins into a body of water. Learn more about the history and customs of Tashlikh .
Family and Emergency Contacts

Last week a Family Contacts sheet was mailed to your home. This document will help us create our Student Directory. We have a tight deadline for verification of family contact information. Please take a moment to review the information on your sheet and provide updates to the office by tomorrow September 7, 2018. If we do not receive updated contact information, we will proceed to print the school directory with the information on file. On the same form, we are also asking every family to provide at least one Emergency Contact to be kept in our files. Thank you for your attention to this task.
High Holidays School's Out
