Getting to Know Each Other
Name Tag Sunday,  September 9

We've all seen familiar faces in worship and can't always put a name with a face. This Sunday, September 9, we are asking everyone in all worship services to either wear your own name tag from your place of business or fill out and wear a name tag that will be provided.

This is a great way to put names with faces and perhaps create new connections for you. We hope to repeat Name Tag Sunday periodically throughout the year!

NEW Women's Studies to Begin
Contact Jane Sparks to register for the studies listed below, [email protected] or 843.357.5185.

Twelve Ordinary Men
by John MacArthur

Join us for this 12-week study beginning on Monday, September 10 at 6 PM in the Family Life Center.

Who were these men?  What is most amazing about the disciples is that Jesus ever selected them: among them, a handful of common fishermen, a hated tax collector, and an impulsive political zealot. The men the Savior chose were ordinary, hopelessly human, remarkably unremarkable, but all were available and obedient to the Master's call. To study their lives is to get to know the men closest to Christ during His earthly life.
The Genesis of Woman
Walking with God

Join us for this 9-week study beginning on Wednesday, September 19, at 9:30 AM in the Family Life Center.
For women who want to become all that God designed them to be - come and join us on our walk with God. It is important that we develop a support network with other believers focused on helping us be strong, Godly women who positively impact the world around us.
Discerning the Voice of God
by Priscilla Shirer

Join us for this 8-week study beginning on Thursday, September 20, 6:30 PM - 8 PM, in the Family Life Center.

Discover the root to clear and daily communication with God-humble obedience. Learn how surrender unlocks His many blessings intended for us, centers us in His will, and helps us discern His voice in everyday life. If hearing God has seemed challenging, this study invites you to explore a more intimate relationship with Him - one that can make hearing Him, His will, His heart, and His voice your ongoing experience. Discover how you can listen with greater confidence, clarity and discernment.

NEW Study for Men & Women to Begin
The Rock, the Road, and the Rabbi
by Kathie Lee Gifford

This 6-week study for men and women begins on Monday, September 23 at 6 PM, in the Family Life Center. Please contact Jane Sparks to register, [email protected]
or 843.357.5185.

Our group will "walk" through Israel to learn about the historic sites of the land using scripture and the book "The Rock, the Road, and the Rabbi" to help us understand its significance to our Christian faith. We will view Israel from a different perspective and grow in our affection for the story of our faith as told in God's word, the Bible. Study members will engage in reading, discussions, informative videos, and weekly fellowship with other "travelers."

Please purchase a copy of the book (and study guide if you wish to have your own; study guide is optional). Items are available in stores or online at Books-a Million, Barnes and Noble, Walmart, Target, or at www.christianbook.com

2019 Blessing of the Inlet T-shirt Design
You do not have to be an artist to make a contribution! A graphic design artist will help create the final design.

The theme for 2019 is "Be a blessing to someone today," based on Proverbs 11:25 which says, "The one who blesses others is abundantly blessed; those who help others are helped."

Submit your design/s to [email protected] by September 30 (limit to 4 colors or less). The BOI T-shirt committee will review all ideas and select one for next year's t-shirt. The t-shirt design should reflect the 2019 theme and scripture and include the following:
  • Blessing of the Inlet
  • 23rd Annual
  • 2019
  • Belin Memorial United Methodist Church
  • Scripture Verse (see above)
Samples of previous t-shirts can be seen on the Blessing of the Inlet web page: www.blessingoftheinlet.com.

We still have a few extra short and long sleeved 2018 Blessing of the Inlet t-shirts. Contact Austin Bond to check on availability, [email protected]
