Council Member Dave Martin Hosts 
Clear Lake/Southeast Houston Town Hall Meeting 
 
Houston, TX - Houston City Council Member Dave Martin will host a town hall meeting on Tuesday, October 16 at 6:30 p.m., in the Special Events Building* at Space Center Houston, 1601 NASA Parkway, Houston, TX 77058.  The community is invited to attend and hear from city and community representatives about ongoing projects, issues and community news related to the Clear Lake and Southeast Houston ar eas of District E. 
 
This fall's town hall meeting will include a presentation from Mayor Sylvester Turner who will provide an update on the post-Harvey progress of the City as well as the Rebuild Houston and fire salary referendum elections on the November 6 ballot. All registered voters within the boundaries 
of the city are urged to attend. 

Residents will hear from Sharon Moses Burnside with the Planning and Development Department on the proposed amendment to add Ellington Road, from Galveston Road to Interstate 45, to the City's Major Thoroughfare Plan.  President of the Clear Lake City Water Authority, John Branch, will also be a part of our agenda to discuss the progress of Exploration Green as well as provide a post-Harvey update to the community. Harris County Flood Control District Chief Operations Officer, M att Zeve, will provide a post-Harris County Flood Control Bond update. 

Additionally, a representative from Harris County Precinct 2 will speak regarding the El Dorado Boulevard widening project. William Harris with Space Center Houston is happy to update residents on their programming and community initiatives. Finally, Captain Hitzman will provide an update on crime statistics within the community.

There will be information tables available for those that arrive early, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Those tables will be hosted by the Texas Department of Transportation with information on the Highway 3 and Gulf Freeway Projects, the City of Houston's Department of Neighborhoods, and Clear Lake City-County Freeman Branch Library.
