Dayton STEM School Increases Enrollment
Kettering OH, 1/3/2019 -

The Dayton Regional STEM School is now accepting applications for the 2019-20 school year, with plans to a record number of students. As we celebrate our 10 th anniversary , embark on a 30,000 square foot expansion, and plan to grow our student body , there has never been a better time to apply for admission.

This year, STEM was named #1 on the region's list of "Top Performing High Schools." The Class of 2018 impressed with a 100% graduation rate and over 70% of students went on to pursue a STEM major in college. The school was also an honoree for "Best Not-for-Profit" at the Dayton Business Journal's 2017 Business of the Year Awards.

The Dayton Regional STEM School is currently growing our footprint with a 30,000 square foot expansion. The capital project will include five new classrooms, science lab, assembly hall, project creation space, the Air Force Research Lab's Gaming Research Integration for Learning Laboratory, and more. This expansion , which will be completed in the spring, allows for us to grow our student population by nearly 20% over the next several years, providing more students in the Dayton region to experience all that the Dayton Regional STEM School has to offer.

STEM is a public 6 th -12 th grade school open to any student in the Dayton region. The admission application can be found at daytonstemschool .org/admissions and is due by March 15 th . Students that apply for admission will be placed into our annual lottery. A full class of 125 incoming 6 th graders will be admitted, and any available student spots through 9 th grade will also be filled. Families are encouraged to register online for an Information Session, where you'll hear an admissions presentation and get a student-led campus tour.

We invite families to discover how we foster student and school-wide success through Project Based Learning, STEM principles, career exploration, and more. The Dayton Regional STEM School is proud to nurture and inspire the next generation of Dayton's leaders and innovators.
