Teacher Pathway Cohort Visits Microsoft; Receives Innovative Educator Certification
New students in the Fullerton College Teacher Pathway cohort visited Microsoft Corporation in Irvine during their orientation week activities to attend Microsoft's Innovative Educator workshop. This program showcases the fundamentals of applying technology in education.

Fall 2018 Staff Development Workshops
This semester, Staff Development is experimenting with a new approach to delivering professional learning. Rather than offer workshops on a variety of days and times throughout the semester, Staff Development will provide a few focused days of learning in a "mini conference" format. The first mini conference is on Wednesday, Sept. 26 and Thursday, Sept. 27 from 2-5 p.m.

The CARE/CalWORKs and FYSI Programs invites the campus community to join the Adopt-An-Angel Planning Committee. The annual Adopt-An-Angel holiday event provides student-parents and their children with a full program of arts and crafts, presents, photos with Santa, food, beverages and more!

Football
The No. 1 Hornet football team opened the 2018 season by dodging a bullet on Saturday afternoon getting past No. 23 Golden West College 30-27 in a non-conference road game. Since 2000, Fullerton has had great success on opening day suffering only three losses with a healthy 16 wins.
Up Next: The Hornets (1-0 overall) will play again on the road at #4 Riverside City College on Saturday, Sept. 8 at 6 p.m.
Women's Volleyball
The women's volleyball team won their third match in a row at home Friday night against Mt. San Antonio College 3-1 (25-13, 25-18, 20-25, 25-23). Up Next: FC (3-0 overall) will host Palomar College on Wednesday, Sept. 5 at 6 p.m. Come on out and support the team!
Women's Soccer
The women's soccer team brought down Southwestern College 1-0 in their home opener on Friday afternoon. The lone goal of the game came on a corner kick by Taylor Hobbs. Brianna Remedios then leapt up into the air and knocked the ball into the back of the net scoring on a header. Up Next: The Hornets (2-0 overall) will host another non-conference game against Rio Hondo College on Tuesday, Sept. 4 at 3 p.m. Come on out and cheer on your Hornets!
Men's Soccer
The Hornets were on the road all last week and winning. On Tuesday, they played at Glendale College and won 4-0. On Thursday, FC traveled south to the greater San Diego area and knocked off Southwestern College 3-0. Then they bounced over to Cuyamaca College on Friday and beat the Coyotes 4-1. Up Next: Fullerton (3-0 overall) will play another road game today at Chaffey College. Game time is at 2 p.m.

This show features the work of the Art Department faculty in a variety of styles and media, which reflects the richness of the department. Faculty work diligently to provide students with strong foundational skills, while also pushing students to strive for new and more advanced modes of expression. The department hopes that students and community members who visit the show feel inspired to continue creating art and sharing it with the world.
