Sunday Breakfast
Breakfast this coming Sunday, November 10, will be provided by guest chefs, Peter & Alissa Finnis.

This is the last Sunday on the topic of CS Lewis.
Next Sunday, Nov. 17, we will have a guest speaker from the Neighborhood House.  The Executive Director, Jennie Jean Davidson, is very excited to be here and share what they do.

Please plan on joining everyone in Board Hall between 8:30am and 9:45 where you will not only enjoy great food but a time for fellowship. Let's make Ms. Davidson feel welcome!

Thanksgiving Baskets for EACM
This year our youth will continue the tradition of a scavenger hunt through Kroger to purchase all of the ingredients for Thanksgiving Meal baskets for Eastern Area Community Ministries to distribute in the community. We are asking for donations of Kroger gift cards to fund this mission, which provides a wholesome holiday meal to those less fortunate than ourselves.

The youth group will join youth from Anchorage Presbyterian to shop on November 17th, so please make your donations by contacting the church office or bringing them with you to worship in the next two weeks!

Advent Wreath Making
All are welcome to gather in Board Hall on
November 24 during the 9am Faith Formation hour to festively welcome in the season of Advent by making fresh Advent wreaths.

This was such a well-received event the last few years that we have decided to make this an annual tradition here at St. Luke's.

Please contact Mother Allison OR the church office to RSVP or for additional information. 502-245-8827.

Thanksgiving Day Service
On Thanksgiving Day, November 28 th, at 10:00am, we will offer our gratitude to God through Holy Eucharist.

8th Annual Coat Drive
This is our 8th year participating in the Louisville Free Coat Exchange. St. Luke's parishioners have donated over a 1000 coats. We will collect new and gently used coats until Thanksgiving Day.

Please see collection boxes in the Narthex at church.
On Friday November 29th we will deliver our coats to various distribution sites in downtown Louisville. They will be given away on Black Friday from 10am until 1pm. Any leftover coats are donated to non-profits to continue the give.

We need gently used coats, hats, scarfs and gloves for all ages. Thank you, The Brotherhood of St. Andrew

St. Luke's Book Club
YOU ARE INVITED to St Luke's Book Club on Nov. 20 at 7:00

BOOK INFO: November's book selection is, Born a Crime by Trevor Noah. Host of the Daily Show, tells about his wild coming of age story during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. His memoir provides powerfully funny observations about how farcical political and social systems play out in our lives.

We invite you to join us!

Lay Pastoral Care Ministry
Pastoral care is a ministry provided by volunteer parishioners to individuals needing home, hospital, nursing home or rehabilitation facility visitations. Arrangements can be made for communion and meals as requested. All information is confidential unless you give permission to share with others.

CALL THE CHURCH OFFICE TO LET US KNOW YOUR NEEDS.

Reminder, if you do go to the hospital, let the hospital know your church affiliation or try to have your caregiver do so. Our ministry is here for you in time of need so remember to call the church office at 245-8827 or e-mail at

Altar Flower Memorials for 2020
It's time to renew your dates for 2020 altar flower memorials.

Emails with order forms (or USPS if no email avail)
will go out to the previous year's donors.

Please respond promptly since renewals are honored first. Please call Dawn at the church office at 245-8827 so sh e can gather all necessary information.

Christmas Memorials
We continue our tradition of decorating the church for Christmas with memorial poinsettias and large wreaths, as well as memorializing loved ones through contributions for special Christmas music. Special envelopes are available at both Narthexes specifying your gift for either poinsettia, wreath, or music. Please indicate if it is in MEMORY of or in THANKSGIVING of someone and list their names clearly.   The deadline to receive all memorials is Sunday, December 8.

Poinsettia Memorials - the cost for poinsettias is $8 per plant with the deadline for ordering is Sunday, December 8. Envelopes are at both narthexes.

Wreath Memorials - We will again be hanging large wreaths inside the church on the stone walls between the windows. The cost for each wreath is $99. We hope parishioners will help subsidize this decorating effort by donating for a wreath, or part of one, in memory of a loved one or in thanksgiving. The deadline for this memorial is Sunday, December 8. Envelopes are at both narthexes.

Music Memorials - Give to our wonderful music program as God plants in your heart. You may give throughout the year to the music program, but in order to get your memorial in print, the deadline is Sunday, December 8. Envelopes are at both narthexes.
