FOOTBALL
Jordan Yates passed for 177 yards and ran for 96 more to lead the Eagles to a 14-13 victory over top-ranked Colquitt County Wednesday night to capture the Georgia High School Association Class 7A State Championship at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
It was the first state championship in school history for Milton (13-2), who may have pulled off the biggest state championship game upset in 2018. The nationally-ranked Packers were held to 239 yards of total offense and found the end zone just one time in the game.
THANK YOU TO OUR PARENTS, STUDENT BODY & COMMUNITY FOR THE
AMAZING SUPPORT LEADING UP TO AND DURING THIS HISTORIC GAME!

SWIM & DIVE
The Swim & Dive team had our fastest meet yet at the Madeleine Jude Brown Invitational this past weekend. There were 30 strong teams from Georgia who competed at the meet. The boys team led the Eagles with a 7th place finish overall. Wilson Dubois, Connor Kazmi, Michael Critchfield, Cooper Cook, Patrick Carr, William Kenyon, and Josiah Shelley all scored points for the team with impressive top 20 finishes. They also all qualified for state in their individual events! Our boys 200 medley relay swum by Wilson, Connor, Michael, and Cooper placed 7th with a time of 1:43.89. The boys 400 freestyle relay swum by Wilson, Cooper, Michael, and Patrick placed 6th overall with a time of 3:24.32. The girls team did amazing as well with Sydney Scalise, Nicole Lin, Emma Schwartz, Corinne Kenyon, and Megan Bates all scoring points leading the girls to an 11th place finish. Nicole had an incredible 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:09.92 and placing 3rd. Sydney Scalise also had an outstanding 3rd place finish in the 100 butterfly with a time of 1:00.75. The girls 400 freestyle relay swum by Emma, Nicole, Sydney, and Corinne placed 7th overall with a time of 3:56.10. Way to go Lady Eagles!! A special shout out as well to Alec Hutchinson and Josiah Shelley for winning the title of "Milton swimmer of the meet" for their time improvements, sportsmanship, and overall performance at the meet! Almost every swimmer dropped significant time this weekend, and we can't wait for our next meet! Come out to support the Eagles Swim & Dive team on December 21st at 8 pm against local rivals Cambridge and South Forsyth!

JV BASKETBALL CHEER
In the spirit of the season, the JV basketball cheerleaders gave up their Sunday afternoon to visit and entertain the residents of the Milton Senior Center. The audience was delighted by the girls and very appreciative of the visit. These fine, young women represent the "M" on and off the basketball sideline. They wish you all a Happy Holiday!
EQUESTRIAN
Congratulations to the Milton Eagles Equestrian Red Team for another great weekend of shows! The team won Champion on Saturday and placed a strong 4th on Sunday, despite the torrential rains and cold temperatures. The team has earned enough points to head to the Regional finals. Great job on all their hard work and dedication to their school and sport!

ACADEMICS
