Garage Sale. Small item donations can be placed in the west hallway outside the auditorium. Larger items, like
furniture, can be received Mon-Thurs, 9am-4pm. Please call the church office first at 788-3734, to arrange your drop off.
Set Up Sunday 9/23:
We will have a pre-set up party shortly after the worship service. Enjoy a lunch on us and help us get prepared for the big day! Let us know if you're coming by filling out the connection card in the worship guide or emailing [email protected] so we can plan for food.
Childcare birth-Kindergarten will be available ONLY upon request.
Help Needed Day of Sale 9/29:
We need all hands on deck for one of our largest events of the year! There will be a variety of ways to serve like helping to gather items, greeting guests, loading items, handing out tickets, handing out and preparing food, etc. Please indicate on the connection card n the worship guide or emailing [email protected] if you can serve.

Deacon's Benevolence Fund Offering Sept. 9th
|
 PBC has been faithfully helping those in need living here in Derby. Since January this year we have assisted nearly 25 individuals or families.
We fulfill requests like rent, food, appliances, and utilities as well as invite them to church and pray for them.
The needs in our area seem great and summer has been especially busy. We would like to continue ministering to our community for the remainder of the year but funds are low.
Please prayerfully consider helping us to continue this mission by contributing to a special offering that will be taken during the worship service on September 9th.

Operation Christmas Child Sewing

Join this group to make pillowcase dresses and backpacks for O.C.C. Shoe Boxes. Sewing skills not required.

Wednesday Night Fellowship Meals

Join us for good food and good company every Wednesday night in the PBC Reception Hall!
Meals are served promptly at 5:30pm. The cost is
$3 for adults & $2 for children 12 & under.
Please call the church office with names, number of people, any
allergies, & ages OR email [email protected].
If you were on the list last year you MUST call or Email to reserve your space for 2018-2019 school year. Reservations from last year do not carry over.
Reserve your spot for the whole season or be on a will call each week by 10:00am on Tues.
*Please call by Tuesday at Noon, if you have a reservation, but will not be eating that week. It really helps the ladies plan for how many to prepare for.*

Kids Day Out Fall Registration Open Now

There are just a few spots open!
Moms/Grandmas/Caregivers can enjoy a day to
themselves while their little ones, ages 8 weeks to 5 yrs old, come for a day of play and learning.
KDO, Pleasantview's Mother's Day Out program, is now
registering for the 2018-19 School Year. Register your child
by emailing Winona Franklin, [email protected].
Registration is $40 & the weekly fee is $15. KDO meets on Thursdays from 9:30 am - 2:30 pm.

For the past couple years we've had a group of guys here at PBC who love blessing those in need with refurbished vehicles.
To date, they have blessed 4 families with vehicles. Here's what one of their most recent recipients shared in a letter of thanks:
"Since two years ago this church has been a true blessing to my family with the free yard sale, a brand new bed, support at Christmas, and now a car.
After the fire where I lived, I felt a big loss, especially after my father's passing due to the fire. The church has helped me replace things I thought would take me forever to replace myself. Thank you for making the impossible possible for me and my family!"

 Many dishes and plastic food containers have been left behind. Please look in the church library to see if one belongs to you. Any unclaimed items will be donated to the community garage sale.

We collect all year long for items we can pack into shoe boxes for kids in impoverished areas around the world.
