One of my students, Jazmin Avila, recently gave an informal one-hour piano recital at the Village of River Oaks Retirement Community. Jazmin is the first student at Houston Music and Wellness Center to take on the challenge of a recital of this size.
Usually, my students do their recital as a group
and they each play a few select pieces. But not Jazmin! She wanted the challenge of a solo recital!
Jazmin is motivated to practice and to always improve. She does her best to fit practice into her very busy academic schedule and other after school activities. Even to the point of squeezing it in if only for a few minutes a day.
I am so proud of her for all of her accomplishments!
