This Sunday, over 75 congregations throughout the Charlotte area will focus on the same crucial themes during a four-week, unified sermon series called FORCLT. We are FOR the Gospel, FOR the Church, FOR our neighbor, and FOR the city.
Over the past year, For Charlotte has worked collaboratively with local church leaders (including Pastor Alex) to develop this unified series for our city! The team has also prepared lessons to complement the sermons that will be used in our Adult Discipleship Communities.
Will you fast and pray? Pastor Alex invites all who call Carmel home to fast from lunch each Friday for the next four weeks. Pray that the Holy Spirit would do a fresh work in our city. Pray for unity in and among the churches and believers in our city. Pray against the schemes of the enemy to divide us. Pray for pastors to have the courage and strength to preach the Word. Pray for a renewed hope. Pray that God moves mightily. Pray with expectation!

20 Year Shout Out
This past Friday, Leslie Sheffield celebrated her 20th anniversary working for Carmel. She stepped
into her current role as Human Resources Director in 2004, serving over 500 employees. Leslie says she enjoys "taking care of the details so people can focus on what God called them here to do."
Leslie has been married to Mark for 36 years and has 3 children and 2 grandchildren.
We appreciate Leslie's commitment and dedication to the ministries of Carmel.
