Acceleration East High School
Community Brief
Thursday, November 7, 2019

As we are deep into week 3 of Quarter 2, let's check in with how things are going:

* Have you spoken with your students about the goals for this quarter, especially knowing that semester 1 grades are an average of Quarter 1 and Quarter 2?

* Have you reviewed attendance with your students?

* Can we confirm that your student is arriving to class on time, every day?

* Lastly, do you know how your child is prioritizing their work?

These are all executive functioning skills - organizational strategies that require practice and intentionality. Please ensure these are things you discuss with your child. With Thanksgiving and the Winter Break on the horizon, ensuring these skills are front and center will make the rest of the quarter, semester and year better for your student.

With Phoenix Pride,

Mr. Doug Loftus
