WiFi Hotspots & Chromebooks will be available for checkout starting September 5!
To increase internet access in Grand County, the library will soon be offering WiFi hotspots and Chromebooks for a 7 day checkout period!
A WiFi hotspot is a device you can use to connect gadgets, such as a laptops or tablets, to the internet. The hotspot is portable so you can use it to access the internet (via T-Mobile's network) at home or on the go.
The library's Chromebooks are small laptops that run Google's Chrome Operating System (instead of Windows or macOS). They are designed to be used primarily while connected to the internet to access applications or documents that live in the cloud.
Funds for this project have been provided by the Institute of Museum and Library Services through the Library Services and Technology Act and are administered by the Utah State Library Division.
