December 2018  Newsletter
The Next Tanners Antiques and Crafts Show is
February  16th and 17th

We wish you and yours a very nice Holiday Season and a Happy New Year!

Our next antique show is February 16th and 17th
at the Livestock Events Center

You may have heard that the City is tearing down our Livestock Events Center building.
That means we will have to find a new home for the show. We are OK for 2019, I had a contract in place so they are moving us to the big Convention Center at the South end of town.
But for 2020 we will have to find a more affordable location, We are currently using 20,000 square feet and I don't know of any event centers that large that are affordable for small local shows.
We will still be at the Livestock Events Center for the February show but starting with the May 11th and 12th shows we will be in the Reno-Sparks Convention Center - 4590 S Virginia St, Reno, NV 89502.  I have a lot of work to do to figure out the new layouts etc. so watch Facebook and the website for updates.

Thank you everyone for Great November Tanners and Magic of Santa craft fair shows.
For Magic of Santa alone we delivered 19 boxes of food and over $300 cash to Evelyn Mounts community outreach program!

We are constantly striving to improve the shows so if you have any ideas please let one of us know.  Also please do anything you can to increase awareness of the show and get our attendance up.

Below is the schedule of upcoming

I'm sorry if any of the dates conflict with other shows,
I do my best to work around them
I'm also constrained by available dates at the Events Center

Please remember to shop at our show and small local stores for unique gifts. The antique stores I list here and places like the Buy Nevada First store in the Reno Town Mall are excellent places to shop and it helps your LOCAL neighbors.

Reno City Business License - Should you get one?
A Reno business license is required to participate in any shows in Reno. Currently if you don't have a Reno business license you pay $20 for the temporary license per show.  If you do more than 3 shows a year you can actually save money by getting a regular Reno Business License.
A Reno license costs $85 for the first year and then $65 renewal for the following years.
Licenses are available at the business license office in the Reno City Hall building (the big black building downtown) Park in the Eldorado garage and they have a walkway on the 2nd floor that goes right into the business license office.
You will also need to get a Nevada State business license and I'm not sure what the cost of that is. There is a link in the Reno Portal.
You will need to do the math and see if it makes sense for you.  :-)
