IMPORTANT COVID-19 UPDATE

I hope everyone is staying healthy and hanging in there through everything that has been going on with the coronavirus (COVID-19) and how it has turned everything upside down for everyone.I have heard from a few of you and obviously there is a lot of nervousness and uncertainty going on about what will happen next and when things will start to return to normal.
I wanted to let you know NSGA has been working since last week on pushing for assistance with our lobbyists and government officials in Washington D.C. for relief measures to help our sporting goods retailer and dealer members for the disruption from COVID-19. You are a part of this fight as well since members of the Hockey Dealers Association (HDA) receive all the benefits and support of NSGA.
We have been providing regular updates on the status of the $2 trillion stimulus package through NSGA communications. Please be watching for these email communications from NSGA because we don't want you to miss the most up-to-date information we have. We sent our latest update around 11:30 p.m. Central time today (Thursday). The email updates will be sent at various times based on when information is available. If you don't believe you are receiving them please let me know and we will make sure you are on those mailing lists.
The email updates contain some of the important aspects regarding the Small Business Administration emergency loan program that is included in the stimulus package. One of the key aspects will be the incentive to retain your employee base. It will also be important, if you need an SBA emergency loan, to be prepared to do so as soon as the program is up and running.
NSGA has also created a
COVID-19 Information and Resources page that has various resources related to the coronavirus situation. It includes all of NSGA's email communications, information on NSGA's lobbying efforts in Washington
, business-related tips and government-related resources. We will be updating this page on a regular basis.
