Message from the CEO
When you join HISA you become part of Australia’s digital health community with access to the best network of digital health and health informatics connections. Members are connected across Australia and globally through HISA affiliations with international health informatics leaders. HISA was recently chosen to host two international summits – NI 2020 for digital health nursing and of course MedInfo 2021 – a truly global convention for health informatics. On the ground in Australia our communities of practice are growing and building knowledge around nursing informatics, cybersecurity, clinical informatics, UX and precision medicine. Branch meetings bring us together face-to-face for valuable relationship-building experiences. Now we are exploring virtual coverage of events to take our message further. Check out last week’s fantastic Queensland branch event on artificial intelligence for precision medicine recorded here on Facebook Live. Also last week we went live with the first CXIO grand round event @HealthCXIO from the Royal Melbourne Hospital – please leave comments on the posts if you would like to express support for future virtual event coverage.
