From Our Principal
One area of instruction that is particularly sensitive is the virtue of chastity. At Saint Benedict, we are very careful to balance our duties as educators with the Church's teaching that parents are the primary educators. At school, students participate in lessons about appropriate interactions with adults and the dignity of each human person. By middle school that delves further into moral actions, and we utilize an excellent book in 7th and 8th grade called Theology of the Body for Teens: Middle School Edition (Ascension Press). We ask parents to share in this formation with us, and we provide resources to assist parents at each grade level on our school web site at  http://www.saintbenedictschool.org/faith/chastity-by-grade.cfm . Thank you for your partnership!

Click HERE for a form, that can be filled out and sent to school with your child or you can make a donation via PayPal on our website HERE .
On Wednesday, October 24th , the student council will sponsor a Tag Day. In recognition of Cancer Awareness, we ask all those who will be participating in the tag day to wear pink. The cost for your chance to wear pink and your favorite jeans is only $2.00. The proceeds will go toward breast cancer awareness in the Richmond area. Let's "pink out" St. Benedict on the 24th.

On Saturday, October 27th  the PTO is having their annual Fall Fest. The Student Council will be selling recycled crayons that night. If you have pieces of crayons at home, we would love for you to send them to the school and we will take the pieces and create new crayons.  All crayon donations can be sent to Mr. Cichocki in the history classroom.

One of the Student Council projects is the collection of soda can tabs which we donate to The Ronald McDonald House on Monument Avenue.  This charity provides a place for families to stay while a loved one receives medical treatment in the area. Those pop tops can be sent to school where they will also be sent to Mr. Cichocki.

Thank you for your support of the St. Benedict Student Council
