I will start by wishing all of our families a Happy Thanksgiving holiday next week. Please be safe as you travel to see family and friends through this holiday season. There will not be a Bronco Times addition next week with the holiday, but we will resume on Thursday, December 5. When students return from this break, we will only have three full weeks until the extended Christmas break this year, which is longer than normal (16 days this year). I want students to unplug and "Sharpen their Saw" with their family and friends during the holidays so students should not have any academic work to do over our breaks, nor have any projects due upon their return. We all need to slow down occasionally and enjoy life in a different gear...just like the old Alabama song says, "I'm in a hurry to get things done, I rush and rush until life's no fun!"
Our Drama Club will be performing the musical, "Once upon an Island" at Hough tonight at 7 pm and twice on Saturday (2 pm and 7 pm). I would encourage all of our families to attend one of the three shows as it looks to be another awesome performance from some very talented students. Tickets are still available at the door.
I want to thank the following Student Lighthouse members for their presentations to our visiting Principals from other Leader In Me Schools this week. Bailey Lighthouse Team - Shannon Jacks, Addison Kraft, Kaylee Fungfook, Sarah Klar, Quinn Skovira, Emma Condo, Sophia Regina, Aadyha Kankipati, and Griffin Snyder. Additional thanks to the following Bailey Tour Guides for providing our visitors with an extensive tour of our school. Tour Guides - Ava Watt, Madden McMahan-Walters, Khaki Hudson, Sydney Bandy, Elizabeth Rupert, Logan Stump, McKenna Williams, Leo Wachter. Anya Moskowitz, Maddie James, Selena Beam, and Kennah Romano. These students did a tremendous job this week of not only sharing information about our school, but also representing themselves as future leaders.
Kudos to Mason Smith and Kristen Armstrong for winning the Discount Card Fundraiser Knock-Out finals last week. They each received $100 cash for being the final boy and final girl in our Knock-Out game. As a side note, this is the third straight year that Mason has won for the boys
!
Congrats to Abby Jordan, "Leader of the Month" in Mrs. Reiss' Art Classes for October. Abby has shown her leadership skills in helping other students and in the service of helping the class as a whole.
Happy Thanksgiving,

FBLA Announcement
Santa's Helpers is a community service partnership between Neighborhood Care Center of Cornelius and the Bailey MS FBLA club to provide food in the form of gift cards to locals in need. Last year we raised $870.00 in gift cards and gifts which helped 25 families.
The Santa's Helpers Teens tree is in the school's front lobby. Santa's Helpers gift tags have been placed on the table beside the tree. The Neighborhood Care Center has requested "Walmart" gift cards only this year. Students wishing to participate must first have their parents complete a permission form allowing them to take a gift tag.
Gift cards should be returned to the front office, attention Dr. Lester, by Thursday December18th. Thank you in advance for supporting our community service project and for making Christmas a little brighter for local families who otherwise might not have food to eat.
