With enrollment growing 1,400 students in 5 years, task force recommends new school
After four months of study, the district's Facility Task Force recommended the School Board consider a $110.5 million bond referendum in November 2019 for deferred maintenance, a new school and a new bus garage. No decisions have been made at this time. District leaders will seek community input through a parent focus group, a community survey and a public listening session on March 11. After that, the School Board will consider the input, ask for administrative recommendations and aim for a June decision about a referendum request. Read more HERE.

Preparing the budget for the 2019-20 school year
The district's budgeting process begins with making assumptions about enrollment, revenue and expenses for the upcoming school year. This is the first step that ends with budget approval by June 30. The School Board reviewed budget assumptions for the 2019-20 school year at its meeting Jan. 28. Read more HERE.

Looking for a way to recognize an outstanding teacher in our district?
The District 112 Foundation Excellence in Education Awards Program (Teacher of the Year) celebrates innovative teachers in pursuit of the best possible public education for students in our district. Each year, we recognize these professionals by awarding them grants to support continued innovation in the classroom. Parents, staff, and community members are invited to share your nominations by March 1 for this year's Teacher of the Year - Excellence in Education Award. Read more and complete the simple online application form.

Apply for school meal benefits
Economic situations change throughout the year for families in our community. We want to remind all E. Carver Co. Schools families that free and reduced price meals are available for students who qualify. Parents/Guardians may apply for meal benefits at any point throughout the year, and as often as their financial situation or household size changes. You'll find the online Application for Education Benefits and more information on the Nutrition Services webpage
