February 1st, 2019

As people intent on following Christ, a life of spiritual growth and demonstrating Jesus' love to others is neither easy nor safe. How do we have joy in the midst of uncertainty, trials and persecution? Join us for Week 4 of Dear Church as we look at Paul's letter to the faithful Philippian church (and us!) to see how Christ changes the lens through which we perceive the world and its many, many challenges and opportunities.

Pastor Nick will be preaching in the Auditorium for the Contemporary Worship services. Pastor Faye will be preaching in the Sanctuary for the Traditional Worship services. Join us Sunday as we worship our good God together and strive to be better Christ followers and a stronger church. See you soon!

Souper Bowl Of Caring

Our congregation will participate in the annual Souper Bowl of Caring campaign on Sunday, February 3rd. Middle and High School students will be located at the exit doors of each worship service to collect your dollars and cents to fight hunger here in our community.
Since 1990, young people have been leading the charge and inspiring others to collect dollars and food, in the weeks leading up to the big game. These groups  give 100% of the donations to local charities, changing the nation's largest weekend of football into the largest weekend of caring and serving.  Souper Bowl of Caring was founded in Columbia, SC and it started with a prayer, " Lord, as we enjoy the Super Bowl football game, help us to be mindful  of those who do not have a bowl of soup to eat."
