Letter from Administration

Dear Saint Theresa School Families,

A filming crew will be here at St. Theresa School next Wednesday, February 6th, to shoot some footage in order to update the Bishop Scholarship video that was done several years ago. They are planning to film a Pre-K activity, a gym class, and possibly a staged skit. If you have any questions on this video, or how it will be used, please feel free to call Mrs. Theresa Sciallo at the Diocesan office. Her direct number is (203) 416-1509.

The Basketball Tournament ends this Saturday morning. I plan to meet with the Home School Treasurer in early February, and soon after will provide you with the profit status. At this time, however, I would like to extend my most sincere gratitude to Mr. Todd Beardsworth and Mrs. Jessica Durbin for their time and leadership in running this year's tournament. Their commitment allowed us to continue a 30 year plus tradition. THANK YOU!

Our thanks also to the several individuals who volunteered regularly throughout the tournament. Their assistance in the kitchen, front door, and security was much appreciated.

As our Bookkeeper, Mrs. Ann Dunn, has mentioned in her blog, families must be in good standing, and tuition up to date in order for the school to sign off on the CEO and BSF forms. If there are any extenuating circumstances that prevent you from staying current, please communicate with us promptly.

Letter from the Bookkeeper

From The Bookkeeper's Desk

Hi parents - now that the holidays are behind us, we are moving to address the new school year of 2019-2020. We are currently working on the new registration forms for the new school year.   The Bishop Scholarship awards open Friday 2/1/19 for grades K-8, and closes on 3/15/19. There is a $30 application fee that goes to Facts Management, not to the School. Please apply early, sign into Facts on the Grant & Aid tab, and upload all of the financial information that is requested. Do not wait until the last day. Your application needs to be finalized with all supporting documents by 3/15/19. If you need help with the application or with uploading the supporting documentation, let the school know, and someone can help you. There will be an open help session for Grant & Aid registration on 2/25/19 from 6 pm - 8 pm in the Computer Room for all who need help with their applications or uploading information.

Bridgeport parents with students in K-8, can also apply for the CEO awards. Ask for information at the office. There is also a Tuition Assistance Award or TAC, that families can apply for, however, you must have applied through Facts, on the Grants & Aid section. The School office has the new form that must be filled out. A committee will review all applications and make financial awards on a needs basis.

Please be aware that the school cannot sign off, or verify parents for the CEO or Bishop's Scholarship awards with outstanding tuition accounts. Both organizations want to know that you are doing your share by keeping your accounts current. It is important, to make consistent monthly tuition payments. The school relies on these payments to meet their cash flow needs.

As always, if you are having financial issues, and cannot make your tuition payment on its due date, please give the School a call, to let us know what is going on.

Thank you,
Ann Dunn

Catholic Schools Week

Students enjoyed Catholic Schools Week with many activities
