Dear Families,

I know that   this is an unsettling time with news that a teacher strike is possible. In the event of a teacher strike taking place, I want to let you know that safety is my number one priority. If needed, I am anticipating that the majority of our guest teachers will be central office employees who are being deployed, by district leadership, to support our school, many of whom are already teachers and current DPS guest teachers. DPS has a process for granting guest teacher status, which includes background checks and fingerprinting. In the event of a strike, I will put structures in place to ensure that all students are safe before, during, and after school.  All emergency procedures will be understood, and in place, should an emergency arise.  While this is a difficult time, I can assure you that I will take all of the steps needed to keep our students safe and to keep our learning environments productive.  For the most up to date information on the strike, please visit this link.

Thank you,

Principal

choice
Round 1 Choice Window Now OPEN!
January 15th - February 15th

If you have a child that will be new to UPark in the 2019-2020 school year, please complete the Choice Process.  This includes families who have choiced a current student in to UPark and would now like to enroll their sibling.

If UPark is your boundary school, we still ask you to complete the Choice Process for your new student. By doing this, you are helping us manage our classes and plan for next year. If your child currently attends University Park and you are not enrolling a new sibling, you do not need to complete this process.

For more information and to start the process, visit the Enrollment and SchoolChoice website. You are also welcome to contact the UPark office at (720) 424-3410 with questions.
