Why, God? That's a question everyone wrestles with at some point in their lives. When bad things happen, we cry out to God for answers. Beginning January 6, we'll look at the story of Job and his experience of tragedy to help us understand how God is at work in our lives and in the world...and to find hope in the darkness. Wednesday Night Dinners

Adult Ministries
A new Sunday school class begins January 13 (11am, room E225), for 20's and 30's single or married who are looking for an intentional and relevant faith community. This class will be focused on practical applications through scripture study. You're invited to a community that supports one another, explores big questions, and celebrates life together.
The Singles 30's-40's Sunday School class (11am, room E221) will begin reading the book Jesus Is Risen: Paul and the Early Church on January 13. If you would like to order a copy of the book, stop by the bookstore on Sunday, or contact Kim (416-3074). New participants are always welcome!

Walking the 12 Steps with Jesus Christ Facilitator Training: Have you found freedom from some life-controlling habit or behavior? Have you overcome life-controlling depression, anxiety, fear or anger? Would you like to use your God-story to help others break free? There will be a day of training on February 23 from 8:30am to 4:30pm to learn how to facilitate Christ-centered support groups based on the book, "

Family Promise Volunteering: Trinity is hosting families from the Family Promise program January 13 - 20. Faith Mission
Can you be an "encourager" for an elementary student? SMILE is a Faith Mission-supported program at Rawlings where volunteers meet weekly for 30 minutes with students. We have 25 children signed up for SMILE who do not have "encouragers" and we need your help for these students! Our next information session for folks interested in SMILE will be at Rawlings on January 16, 12:30-1:15pm.
Faith Mission is forming a "Bless the School" team to support Rawlings students & staff. "Bless the School" will do things like organize teacher appreciation gifts or meals, volunteer at special events like book fairs and carnivals, and help gather supplies requested by teachers. Could you serve on this new team to be a blessing to the children and teachers in the Faith Mission neighborhood?

Children & Family Ministries
Crosstrainers is an after school, action packed sports experience, full of exercise and energy for elementary aged students (1st - 5th grade). We play and teach fundamentals for basic sports and large group games. The program runs from 2 - 5pm, (we can pick up from Talbot Elementary!) on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays from 2-5pm from January 15 - May 23. You can find more details and registration

resume next week for 3 year olds through 5th grade. Dawning Doves (children who turned 3 by Sept. 1, 2018 and Pre-K children) can register for CHEERS Cherubs

Rejoice! with us as we share God's love through music and dance! The spring 2019 session of Rejoice! will meet on Wednesday afternoons beginning January 16 from 2 - 4pm in the Choir room (3rd floor Education Building), and will end with a fun-filled performance on Wednesday evening, May 15, at 6:30pm in the Worship Center. The Widows and Widowers Support Group will meet January 8 at 5:30pm at Northwest Grille (5115 NW 39th Avenue).
January 13 is the monthly healing service in the Chapel (please note the time change to 9:40 am). Meghan Williams will be leading this prayer service. Individual and corporate prayers will be offered, as well as The Lord's Supper. All are welcome to attend. This service is sponsored by The Order Of St. Luke, an international healing prayer ministry, modeled on the example of Jesus' healing. The Special Needs Resource Expo is a free event which provides opportunities for parents and professionals to connect and discover many of the wonderful resources available in Alachua County and surrounding areas. This event will be held at Trinity on January 26 and they are expecting 2,000 people to attend.
