At All Saints' Church we gather to know
Jesus Christ and make Him known.

The Godly Play Team and the rooms are  ready for the start of the Program Year!

Our rooms are ready, the team has been recruited, fresh art supplies have been purchased....we are more than ready for a year filled with wonder in our Godly Play rooms. A special "shout-out" to Kathy Haacke who spent countless hours cleaning and reorganizing our art supply closet and all the shelves in the classrooms. Garry Haacke assisted, by installing some new shelving for us as well. Ask for a quick tour one day soon!

Studies in the Gospel According
to John

This Fall the Rev. Paul Minor will offer a five-week series called, "Studies in the Gospel According to John." Each session will take place after the 10:00 am service. See the schedule below. Paul recommends that in preparation you read the entire Gospel of John in one sitting, looking for themes, and recurring images. We will not be able to study the whole book in five sessions, but if you have read all of it you will be able place the passages we look at in context. Pick up a copy of just the Gospel at church this week - they are in the Clark Street Vestibule.

Book-signing after the 10:00 am service on Sunday, Sept. 23.

Next Sunday join us as we help launch Dr. Ian Hutchinson's new book.  Ian's book "Can a scientist believe in miracles? An MIT
professor answers questions on God and science" came out this week, published
by InterVarsity Press. It is based on all the questions he has been asked by
college students at Veritas Forums. He will tell us a little more about it on
Sunday 23rd September in the Bramhall Room after the 10am service and then
sign copies for anyone who is interested.

Another Author in our Midst!

Our own Dr.  Kwan Kew Lai has written a book that comes out in October, about her medical service during the Ebola crisis. The book is called "Lest We Forget." You can pre-order it here:

Kwan Kew will be in Porter Square on October 11th at 7pm doing a book signing.  If yo u want a preview into the great depth and heart that this book has to offer, we highly recommend listening to this short but amazing NPR piece that was done on Kwan Kew a few years ago:
