MEET JIM ARMENI
In February 2019, Jim Armeni will celebrate 3 years with ARP Materials!

Jim's career in the rubber industry started with rubber compounding instead of raw materials. Transitioning from the mixing side of the rubber business to the materials side was quite the change! Jim states, "The ARP Materials team gave me everything I needed in order to be successful in making the transition. When you work for ARP Materials, it’s a culture unlike any other and it’s a blessing to represent the product lines that we have in our portfolio!"

Jim enjoys the ability to offer long-term solutions for his customers' problems. The challenges his customers face are a mix between situations unique to that specific company and very common issues found in many mixing or manufacturing facilities. Jim explains, "I'm always learning too. And regardless of the challenge, it's always satisfying to be able to offer up the proper solution to make their lives easier!"

Jim travels extensively in Ohio and Indiana, but he has also been spending more time down in the southeastern part of the US getting to meet more of this customers face to face.

When Jim isn't traveling, he enjoys spending his time out on the golf course, in the gym and with his family!
Every month, we will highlight a different member of our team!

Fun Fact! After the invention of the automobile in the early 1900's, natural rubber production flourished. People soon discovered that natural rubber could be used for a number of applications in automotive and other various industries. However, the events leading up to World War II presented some countries with limited natural rubber resources. As a result, these events propelled the discovery, production and wide distribution of  synthetic rubber material . One of the first artificial elastomers invented was a  quality synthetic rubber  that is known as  Styrene Butadiene rubber ! It is still the most widely used synthetic rubber in the world.
