COMMUNITY EVENTS

It's that time of year again! School is back in session and applications are open for the 2018-19 CJPAC Generation: Student Leaders Program!

WHAT IT IS:
The Generation Program offers high school students a broad overview of Canadian politics, while also training them to be leaders in their communities. Students will hear from amazing speakers, have meaningful discussions and get connected with the parties and campaigns of their choosing. In May, we take students to Ottawa for three days (May 5-7) to meet with Members of Parliament and explore Parliament Hill. The cost of the trip is on us.*

WHAT IT OFFERS:
*       Lessons in leadership
*       An inside view of Canadian politics
*       Community service hours (through political volunteering)
*       A network of contacts in the Canadian political sphere
*       A program that resonates with universities and employers

WHO IT'S FOR:
Think you (or someone you know) might be interested in the program but are worried that you don't know enough about politics? That's why the Generation Program exists. Our sessions are designed to give high school students without much exposure to Canadian politics knowledge, insight, and lots of fun. We encourage students from grades 10-12 - secondary 4 & 5 in Quebec - to apply, and we'll take it from there!

So, Lynne, we hope you or the high schoolers in your life will apply to join our 2018-19 class of Student Leaders. Applications are due September 28!

Regards,

Rachael Segal
