Hello Brewster Day Camp,
Happy February!
We in the Winter Office are fully engaged in interviewing & hiring, enrolling & planning for BDC'19. Despite the cold winter weather, summer feels right around the corner to us! We are excited to share news of our summer leadership (see details below). As we continue to assemble our staff for this summer, I am constantly reminded of THE CAMP FAMILY.
Our CAMP FAMILY is comprised of staff and campers - past and present, as well as all of the people who support those two groups - namely you! Some people view this group of people as a community. While that description is accurate, we are bound by something truly special and more significant. We are bound by the magic of camp! We actively work to learn and grow together, especially when that work is hard. We work together regardless of shared genetics or legal status, socio-economic status, background, or life experience. By my definition, our CAMP FAMILY epitomizes this concept of FAMILY!
FAMILY is the foundation of the values and beliefs that we hold at Brewster Day Camp. As a FAMILY business encompassing three generations, our definition of FAMILY is rooted in the work that we do, found both at The Family School and at BDC - as we remain true to our shared mission: Supporting Children and FAMILIES. Our BDC leadership and staff is continuously bolstered by the support of the CAMP FAMILY. Together, we truly are a FAMILY business whose work is supporting THE CAMP FAMILY in doing its work!
