TCS Member Event: "Cabin Fever" Party
Saturday, February 16th, 5pm - 7pm

If it's post-holidays and pre-spring, it must be February - a month that's more endured than enjoyed. Which makes it the perfect time for a party. So we're throwing a Cabin Fever party with nibbles, warming libations, piano music, and good company.

The party will be held at the home of a TCS/NT member. Please RSVP to Lydia Kukoff at kukoff@aol.com and we'll email you the location.
Food & Film: "Cuba's Forgotten Jewels: A Haven in Havana"
Saturday, February 23, 6pm
at the Synagogue
Soup, beverages, & dessert will be served
Admission: $15

A documentary that tells the little-known story of thousands of European Jews who escaped the Nazis and found refuge in Cuba. Roughly 6,000 Jews, many of whom were diamond cutters from Belgium, were able to secure visas for Cuba. Once there, they used their diamond syndicate connections to create a thriving diamond polishing industry, making Cuba, for a short time, a major player in the business.

This film will be accompanied by Cuban-inspired soups and tempting desserts. Please RSVP to Lydia Kukoff: kukoff@aol.com.

This 4-part series of guided discussions, led by TCS/NT member Steve Eidman, will explore how this transformation came about and illustrate the perils in acquiring, keeping, and inheriting power.

The series is free and open to all levels; no Hebrew required, and you're welcome to attend any or all of the sessions.
