CJ Woods' New Year Address

CJ Woods
Greetings SACSA Colleagues and Friends

Welcome to 2019!

As we begin a new year, I want to take this opportunity to reflect on our past. 2019 will mark the 70th anniversary of SACSA. This is truly a significant milestone for our association and more importantly for the student personnel profession. As we reflect on the history of SACSA, let's be mindful of its future and our role in securing it. Pioneers of our profession had the forethought to start SACSA to provide professional development for practitioners, educators, and students engaged in the student affairs profession. They gave freely of their time, talents, and treasures. A new year is upon us and it is a perfect opportunity to renew, reflect, and make meaningful change. As we gather in Raleigh, North Carolina for our annual conference and to celebrate our 70th anniversary, we should also recommit and reinvest ourselves to ensure the sustainability of the mission and vision of SACSA. How will we use your time, talents, and treasures in 2019?
